Eco Blasting

Restoration and Renovation Works

WHAT IS ECO BLASTING?

Our blasting system is a precision dustless blasting system which combines the simplicity of conventional dry blasting with the effectiveness of ultra high pressure (UHP) jetting without the associated hazards and complications we can remove paint coatings corrosion and residues leaving surfaces contaminant free, from light to heavy task blasting through to reinforced concrete plus more delicate and detailed tasks such as glass etching with endless capabilities . All areas cleaned comply with SSPC-SP5 - SSPC- SP10 (WAB) /NACE WAB 1.

  1. Cleans and profiles surfaces so new coatings stick better for longer
  2. No sparks or dust clouds . Meaning excellent safety and visibility with no plant shutdowns.
  3. Ex rated zone 1 approved . Baseefa accredited . Tuv .ATEX and NORSOK compliant .
  4. Environmentally friendly
  5. Can be used on a wide variety of surfaces including fibreglass, wood, brick, concrete, glass,  steel and aluminium.
  6. We can clean up to 18m2 per hour using a 1 inch blast house with a working length of 60 meters
  7. All areas can be primed or painted on completion of tasking by our staff

SELF SUFFICIENT OPERATORS / EQUIPMENT

HOW DOES IS WORK?

The Eco Blast System uses a combination of compressed air, water and blast media so only a fraction of the amount of blast media is required when compared to dry blasting.

It allows operatives to increase or decrease the amount of water, blast media and air which gives greater control and precision over the entire blast process.

The blast media is cushioned by water along the blast hose meaning no heat, friction or dust are produced with this method and no warping of the blasted surface can occur.

The presence of water allows the blast media to travel at greater speeds along the hose which means the blast media has a greater effect on impact with the blasted surface.

The water micro-washes the blast media from the blasted surface leaving it clean, profiled and contaminant free ensuring the best possible bonding strength can be achieved with future surface coatings.

This therefore makes the Eco Blast System an extremely cost effective and environmentally sound surface preparation method.

RUST RESISTANT FINISH

The Eco Blast has the ability to allow operatives to blast, wash and then air dry the surface providing the optimum clean, contaminant free and profiled surface for new coatings to be applied. Alternatively moisture tolerant paint or flash rust tolerant coatings are also readily available on the market.

SAFETY STANDARDS

The Eco Blast System offers the highest level of international safety standards being Zone 1 approved, Ex rated, Baseefa accredited, TuV, ATEX and NORSOK compliant that’s why the world’s leading oil and gas suppliers choose the Eco Blast System time and time again.
